Star Ruby Red Grapefruit

The Star Ruby Red Grapefruit is similar to Marsh or Redblush fruit except for its dark pink flesh. It is the darkest of the pigmented grapefruit and has a rough yellow orange skin with a blush of red. Star Ruby Reds are nearly seedless and grow to a medium size fruit. It originates from San Benito, Texas and is commercially popular in California. The tree grows really well in coastal regions and the fruit typically tastes sweet and tart.
