The Nagami Kumquat is oval in shape and has a thin edible skin. It tastes slightly tart and is good for making marmalade. They are semi-dormant in winter and can withstand below freezing temperatures. The fruits are orange, seeded, and acidic. Highly fragrant, they are delicious when eaten fresh off the branch. Nagamis have a strong and healthy root system which helps the fruit stay firmly on the tree.
